How we collect, use, and protect your personal information. Written in plain English where possible — legal terms only where necessary.

The short version: We collect the minimum information needed to send you horoscopes, run Moon Circle, or process phoneline calls. We don’t sell your data. You can ask us to delete it any time by emailing [email protected].

  • Payment information — handled by our payment provider (Stripe). We never see or store your card details.
  • Messages and replies — anything you send us by email or through forms.

Information collected automatically

  • Cookies — see our Cookies Policy for full details.
  • Server logs — IP address, browser type, pages visited, time spent. Used for security and to understand site use. Kept for 90 days then deleted.
  • Analytics data — anonymised data about which pages are popular. We don’t track individuals.

Information from phonelines (Spoke Ltd)

If you call our 0905 phonelines, the call is processed by Spoke Ltd, our service provider. They collect your phone number for billing purposes. We do not see or store individual caller numbers. See Spoke Ltd’s privacy policy for their handling.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Send you the daily horoscope newsletter (only if you signed up).
  • Provide Moon Circle membership — courses, workshops, and the private group.
  • Process your payment for Moon Circle subscriptions.
  • Reply to your emails and support requests.
  • Improve the site and content (using anonymised analytics).
  • Comply with legal obligations (e.g. tax records).

What we don’t do: sell your data to third parties, send unsolicited marketing, or share your information with advertisers.

4. Legal basis for processing

Under UK GDPR, we process your data on these legal bases:

  • Consent — for newsletter signups and optional cookies.
  • Contract — for Moon Circle membership processing.
  • Legitimate interests — for fraud prevention, security, and improving our services.
  • Legal obligation — for tax and accounting records (kept 6 years).

5. Who we share information with

We share information only with the providers we need to run the service:

  • Stripe — payment processing for Moon Circle.

  • Email correspondence — 24 months after the last reply.
  • Payment records — 6 years (HMRC requirement).
  • Server logs — 90 days.
  • Anonymised analytics — 26 months.

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access — see what data we hold about you.
  • Rectification — correct any inaccurate information.
  • Erasure — request we delete your data (‘right to be forgotten’).
  • Restriction — limit how we use your data.
  • Portability — get a copy of your data in a transferable format.
  • Objection — object to certain types of processing.
  • Withdraw consent — for anything we process based on consent.

8. Security

This site is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. The phonelines are strictly 18+. If you’re a parent and believe we have data on a child, email us and we’ll delete it.

10. International data transfers

Some of our service providers (e.g. Stripe, Google) are based outside the UK. When we transfer your data internationally, we use Standard Contractual Clauses or rely on adequacy decisions to ensure your data is protected to UK standards.

We may update this policy from time to time. The ‘Last updated’ date at the top will reflect changes. For significant changes, we’ll notify newsletter subscribers and Moon Circle members by email.
